The current situation amid the COVID-19 pandemic poses challenges to adult human rights activists in different ways. At the same time, the lack of support for children and youth as human rights defenders threatens the future of activism. This webinar will focus on the experiences of youth and children, particularly around the following questions:
1) What are the challenges faced by children and youth human rights defenders?
2) With the pandemic, how are children and youth human rights defenders innovating to continue their activism?
3) What support is needed by children and youth human rights defenders?
4) What are the key recommendations to the ASEAN sectoral bodies, such as the ASEAN Commission on the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Women and Children (ACWC), in upholding the rights of children and youth human rights defenders?
5) How can collaboration among children, youth, civil society, and government be strengthened?

The ASEAN Youth Forum (AYF) is a movement that represents and fights for the young people in ASEAN to voice out their concerns and strategies for ways to achieve a better ASEAN.
