A solidarity action co-created

with children in Asia

for children in Myanmar

This is a space for young people like you to share your messages of support for the children in Myanmar who are experiencing different types of violence and violations of their rights.

All together 4 myanmar kids

When conflict happened in Myanmar in February 2021, children outside the country asked us
What can we do for the children in Myanmar? How can we tell them that there are young people like us who support them? How do we let them know that we are here for them?

In response, we at CRC Asia worked with children to develop a solidarity action called #AllTogether4MyanmarKids.

(Shout out to children and young people in Hong Kong, Myanmar, and the Philippines who collaborated with us.
Thanks for doing this with us!)

Solidarity means working together to achieve a common goal. We support one another, even though we come from different places or speak different languages. Our culture, gender, or abilities may not be the same, but we are united in taking action to reach our common goal.

What does #AllTogether4MyanmarKids
want to achieve

Empower children in Myanmar by letting them know they are not alone. They have friends who are standing up for them and defending their rights.

Bring together children human rights defenders from around the world to support the children in Myanmar. There are young people who want to take action, and this is a safe space for them to come together.

Urge everyone to protect the rights of children in Myanmar by setting an example. Children are finding ways to protect human rights in Myanmar. Adults, especially those in regional and international communities, should do the same.

How can you be part of
#AllTogether4MyanmarKids?

Send a video message to the children in Myanmar

If you are 8 to 17 years old, record a video message and send it to us.

We will make sure that your video reaches the children in Myanmar. If needed, we will also add subtitles or translations in Burmese (the official language of Myanmar) so that more children in the country can understand your message

Here are the video messages we received so far

If you are an adult, you are also welcome to send
your own solidarity video message.

Tip before recording your video

It would help if you get to know more about #WhatIsReallyHappeningInMyanmar

We encourage you to have a discussion with your adult mentor/guardian. Ask them about the conflict that happened and learn about the impacts on children. You can also request them to help you identify the trusted resources that you can check in order get the latest updates about the situation.

Your ideas are welcome!

Can you think of other ways on how we can show our solidarity
with the children in Myanmar?

Feel free to let us know.
