We are updating our previous announcements. We will be working from home now until the #COVID19 situation in Metro Manila gets better. We are abiding by the government directives on the implementation of the “enhanced community quarantine,” and this has varying impacts on each Secretariat team member — with some designated by their households to be the ones to go out and get food and medicine or to drive family members who are working in establishments that are allowed to remain open.
In this regard, our staff might not be able to work during the traditional business hours and there might be some delays in responding to you. We also want to stay physically and mentally healthy. So, we are encouraging our staff to take some time off during the day to sing by the window 🎶, dance in place 💃, make a quilt ✂️, crochet a hat 🧶, bake cookies 🍪, tinker with machines ⚙️, and do things that will reduce the psychological impact of this pandemic.
Lastly, we are reiterating our call for everyone to continue observing preventive measures for our collective health, having in mind the most vulnerable and marginalized. Let us make the best use of social media platforms to inform and look out for each other — all in our continued effort to pursue the best interest of the child amid trying times like this.
Keep safe and healthy!
