To strengthen awareness of the connection between children’s rights and biodiversity, CRC Asia developed a new child-friendly booklet titled Biodiversity & Me: Become a Nature Defender, available in both print-ready and digital formats.
The booklet was created based on the recommendations of children aged 12 to 17 from across the region who are English-language users, ensuring that the content is engaging, relatable, and easy to understand. It was produced with funding support from the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).
Biodiversity & Me highlights how protecting biodiversity also protects children’s rights—including their rights to live, to be healthy, to play, to feel safe, and to be heard. It features a range of fun and interactive activities that help children become nature defenders, informative sections on the current state of biodiversity in the Asia-Pacific region, and practical guidance on how they can take action. The booklet also encourages critical thinking and creativity, empowering children to design their own campaigns and connect with other learning resources that inspire real change.
