In December 2025 in Bogor, YVFC Indonesia organized the World Children’s Day Celebration and National Meeting 2025, bringing together approximately 80 participants from 12 youth networks, government agencies, financial authorities, education stakeholders, and private sector partners.
Over three days, youth delegates reflected on 2025 advocacy activities, strengthened capacity in digital safety and financial literacy, and collaboratively developed a Joint Youth Roadmap, which prioritizes digital financial literacy as a preventive strategy against exploitation. The meeting introduced the Children and Youth Camp initiative, designed to equip youth aged 13–22 with practical skills in peer education, advocacy, and safe digital financial practices. Multi-stakeholder dialogues reinforced prevention as a core policy direction, highlighted regulatory and oversight mechanisms, and fostered cross-sector collaboration.
Key outcomes included a structured roadmap, agreement on camp implementation, strengthened collaboration among youth networks, and initial commitments from national stakeholders, underscoring the critical role of peer-led approaches in advancing digital safety and child protection in Indonesia’s evolving digital ecosystem.
The National Meeting resulted in the development of a structured Joint Youth Roadmap and a shared commitment to implement the Children and Youth Camp initiative. Collaboration was strengthened among 12 youth networks, alongside direct cross-sector dialogue between young people and national stakeholders, fostering clearer alignment on priorities and actions. Participants also expressed initial commitments to support joint implementation efforts. Overall, the meeting reinforced the value of peer-led approaches in advancing digital safety and financial awareness among children and youth.
