LAOS

Village Focus International (VFI) and Association for
Promotion of Good life of the Children & Youth (APREN)

The campaign focused on promoting participation of young people in the waste reduction in Bolikhamxay Province, Lao PDR.

“This project really helped me to be more courageous, and learned a lot about preserving the environment”

“This project significantly improved our school environment, making it cleaner and more pleasant. Students also gained valuable environmental knowledge, including how to separate waste, apply the 3 Rs principles and properly dispose of waste. They [children] engaged in various activities, enjoyed the process, and developed new skills. Additionally, they [our peers] learned about the benefits and harms of waste, which can benefit society as a whole. Through this experience, students became more aware of the different types of waste and how to manage them effectively.”
